On Thursday February 13th the Gary Broadway Main Street Communities Inc, in partnership with the Gary Redevelopment Commission, is collaborating on a revitalization strategy for three proposed Gary Broadway downtown Main Street districts.
They are seeking additional community input as part of a state application for 2024-2025 through the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. The three proposed districts along the Broadway Corridor include (Downtown Broadway), (Midtown Broadway), and Glen Park (Uptown Broadway).
The local community has provided prior and recent input to improve the economic vitality of Gary Broadway, including during July and October 2024. The focus of the revitalization strategy is a 4-Point Approach established by the National Main Street Center and the Indiana Main Street Program.
