Grant Writing Services for the City of Gary, Request for Proposals

The City of Gary, in partnership with Legacy Foundation, is accepting proposals for a professional grant writing consultant for the City of Gary. Applicants should have a proven track record for researching, developing, writing, preparing, and submitting successful grant proposals for federal and state government grants and private foundation grants.

The consultant should have a minimum of five to ten years of successful grant writing experience including sourcing, developing, writing, and submitting successful private foundation grants and federal and state government grants, including but not limited to:

·     Economic Development Administration

·     Department of Housing and Urban Development

·     Department of Transportation

·     Department of Agriculture

·     Environmental Protection Agency

·     Department of Energy

·     Department of Justice

In addition to grant writing, the selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing current City grant administration procedures among departments and provide feedback, guidelines, and recommendations to implement a streamlined approach.

Proposal submissions should be prepared as described in the RFP. Proposals must be submitted by 5 PM Central on Thursday, February 29, 2024 to Maranda Fishback Engquist at mfishback@legacyfdn.org. Proposals received after this time will not be considered.

The anticipated start date for this project is March 11, 2024. Compensation should not exceed $100,000.
