Our mission is to revitalize neighborhoods, one property at a time, by enforcing city codes with fairness, integrity, and care. We believe that every resident deserves to live in a clean, safe, and vibrant environment, and through our diligent efforts, we will eliminate blight, protect public health, and uplift the beauty of Gary. We are not just enforcing rules—we are building a stronger, more unified community where businesses thrive, homes shine, and neighbors work together toward a shared vision of a brighter future. Our work is fueled by hope, collaboration, and a deep love for our city, as we partner with residents, property owners, and local businesses to ensure that Gary remains a welcoming and flourishing city for generations to come. Together, we will restore and preserve the heart of our community, creating a legacy of renewal and growth.
As the Code Enforcement Superintendent for the City of Gary, I am committed to fostering a strong collaborative environment across all city departments to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.

Code Enforcement
Our initiatives address property neglect and violations while balancing enforcement with fairness and transparency. Regular evaluations allow us to adjust strategies as needed, ensuring we remain adaptable to the community's needs. In collaboration with city leadership and community members, we are committed to driving positive, sustainable change within Gary.
The City of Gary, Indiana Code Enforcement Department is committed to addressing the ongoing issue of illegal tire dumping and ensuring that automotive businesses comply with proper tire disposal practices. Our plan begins with a citywide survey, to be conducted over the first 60 days, identifying areas where tire dumping is most prevalent and cataloging businesses that generate significant tire waste. We will leverage this data to create a comprehensive map of high-risk dumping areas and target businesses that need immediate oversight.
